Promoting culture and tradition in harmony with nature
It is with great pleasure that the non-profit association Festival Hohe Tauern presents an extraordinary project that harmonizes the incomparable beauty and uniqueness of the high mountain landscape with the rich cultural diversity and tradition of the Oberpinzgau region.
This festival goes far beyond a conventional music event. It is a tribute to the deeply rooted traditions of the Oberpinzgau region, which have been cultivated with passion and dedication by its inhabitants for centuries. Our common goal is to bring these valuable traditions into a lively dialog with high culture and thus create a festival experience that inspires both local and international guests alike.
The majestic backdrop of the high mountains provides the perfect setting for a cultural festival that is characterized by the combination of international classical music with the the cultivation of regional music and customs traditions. traditions. By integrating diverse forms of musical expression into the projects and concerts, the declared aim is to break down barriers - both for the artists and the audience - and to provide open access to high culture and traditional music, free from prejudice and clichés.
A particular focus here is on promotion of young talentAs part of the youth work of the Hohe Tauern Festival Academy, master classes for instrumentalists and singers are offered. These courses offer young talents the unique opportunity to learn from renowned music teachers and artists and to further develop their skills.
After more than three years of intensive work the festival weekend in October has already established itself as a fixed highlight in the region, alongside the castle concerts and performances in the Hollersbach herb garden and the Samerstall Niedernsill.
In order to continue this ambitious project in the long term, we rely on your support support. Your participation not only gives you the opportunity to become part of a unique cultural event, but also makes a valuable contribution to promoting regional culture and revitalizing cultural life in the Oberpinzgau region.
